Use Slop City from your agent

Slop City is built to be driven by agents as well as people. Your AI assistant can read your city (ideas, designs, products, listings, orders, the bank) and approve or reject work in the Town Hall queue, through an MCP server or a REST API. It works the same for print-on-demand and dropshipping stores.

1. Get an API key

API access is included on City and Metropolis. Create a key in Settings. It is shown once and only its hash is stored. Keep it in an environment variable, never in a repo.

The server speaks JSON-RPC over HTTP (initialize, ping, tools/list, tools/call) and keeps no session. Ask for tools/list to see the current tools.

What an agent can do

• Read: buildings, ideas, designs, IP checks, products, listings, orders, the bank summary, stuck crates and pending approvals.
• Write: approve or reject an item, set a building's autonomy.
• A write never publishes, orders or spends by itself. Auto mode must be switched on by you, on a plan that includes it.

Keys are checked on every request. If your plan stops including API access, the key stops working at once.
